Today was a case of the unknown as we went into our first competitive 11s game’s for hillwood thistle such has been the summer that this team had absolutely no 11 aside experience and hadn’t played any friendlies as a team so today we just didn’t know what to expect apart from trusting the player’s to do what we’ve taught them and what they do best themselves which is play football today.

So as the game kicked off the thistle started brightly full of energy and wanting to play ball on ground but we missed chance after chance then ended up getting caught with a sucker punch to go 1.0 down but the boys responded brilliantly and kept playing without fear of mistakes and grabbed 2 goals back to make it 2.1 to hillwood thistle at half time.

As second half kicked off hillwood thistle continued to work & talk as a team and put in and unbelievable second half some beautiful goals and fantastic play with every player working they’re socks off including subs such was thistle control of the game that the goals flowed for hillwood thistle in second half special meantion to whole team but big luke taylor who deservedly won man of the match for his 6 goals today a debut today for Adam and kelvin at hillwood along side eren tum really well done team so chuffed for use today we start with an up but there will be days when we have downs but if we continue to play as we can we will be a good side we must continue to play without fear.
